All voices are welcome as the Stand Up! "DC FREEDOM SINGERS" return for the 7th Annual "FREE DC" Holiday Songfest to be Held Saturday, December 22nd, 12 noon - Outside the Reeves Center (14th & U Streets NW)*
In the time-honored tradition of freedom singers advocating for civil rights, the Stand Up! DC Freedom Singers will gather to sing holiday songs turned "freedom songs." Song titles
include: "Norton the DC Delegate" ("Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer"), "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Statehood" ("It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas"), "The Twelve Days of Freedom" ("The Twelve Days of Christmas"), "FREE DC" ("White Christmas"), "Fill the Halls" ("Deck the Halls"), "We Need a Little Democracy" ("We Need a Little Christmas"), "Free DC and Statehood" ("Do You Hear What I Hear"), "Congress Oh Congress" ("Chanukah Oh Chanukah"), "The DC Song" ("The Dreydl Song"),
and "DC Libre" ("Feliz Navidad"). Song sheets will be provided.
*Then come inside to enjoy the 24th Annual MarkePlace Festival & Health Fair sponsored by the African American Holiday Association.
